What is Made4Good and what why is the Healthy Collective collaborating with them?

Posted on September 30, 2022

MADE4GOOD is about CHANGE.

…A CHANGE, where people put the needs and wants of others before that of their own.

…A CHANGE, where acts of kindness are ‘the norm’ rather than the exception.

…A CHANGE, where consumers know profits go to those who need rather than to those who just want more.

…A CHANGE, where Charities and Not-For-Profits don’t have to rely on the generosity of others to deliver their services.

…A CHANGE, where everyone can play a part in making the world a brighter and kinder place to live, no matter one’s religion, race or political views.

…A CHANGE that is Made4Good.

Made4Good is the overarching brand, with multiple sub-brands created to engage within specific categories:

  • ‘GAMES4GOOD’

A tried-and-true example of this was the game ‘JINX’ that was sold as part of the sub-brand ‘Games4Good’ and was sold exclusively within 30 Terry White Chemmart test stores in South Australia late 2021.

With the majority of proceeds from sales going to charity, The Village Co., the chosen Not-For-Profit for the initiative, the results delivered more than $45,000 for the grateful charity.

  • ‘COFFEE4GOOD’

‘Coffee4Good’ is another sub-brand aims to disrupt the traditional means in which Not-For-Profits (NFP’S) and Charities garner their donations.

Charities will no longer need to solely rely on the same group of people to continue to donate year on year but will broaden the reach and the donor base by engaging everyday consumers, and linking everyday purchases such as coffee to nominated NFP’s and Charities.

This is achieved by the participating café itself agreeing to contribute a percentage of profits from their coffee sales. Consumer traffic would be driven by the strong and loyal donor base of the NFP’s and Charities, the establishment promoting their involvement in the cause, Made4Good media partners, as well as the customer knowing that their everyday purchase is benefiting a worthy cause.

How can you get involved?

Based on the philanthropic and beneficial nature of this great initiative, The Healthy Living Precinct (a part of The Healthy Collective) has decided to participate in Coffee4Good this October, 2022.

10 cents of every coffee sold will be supporting Breakthrough Mental Health Research Foundation aka 'Breakthrough' in recognition of October being Mental Health Awareness month.

Breakthrough is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to supporting ground-breaking research that will help to transform the lives of those affected by mental health issues and suicide prevention.

So, make sure that you come down to The Healthy Living Precinct this October, and enjoy yourself a cup of coffee, all in the name of fundraising and improved mental health.
